The numbers are trending, which means businesses are opening just in time for the year’s best season. We are all ready for warm vibes and blue skies. Don't let the summer pass you by. Drive-In Theatres
When was the last time you've seen a movie at an actual theatre? It's been a while, right? Although indoor theatres may not be open, drive-in movie theatres are opening. Drive-in movie theatres are awesome. If you haven't gone before, we would definitely recommend it. You get to experience everything an indoor theatre has to offer except from the comfort of your car. You can also bring some lawn chairs and blankets to watch your favourite flicks under the stars. Stardust drive-in has an old fashion charm. The theatre boasts multiple big screens, and you can actually listen to the movie from your car radio (talk about surround sound). Stardust has snacks for sale, so you can enjoy your popcorn, nachos and other snacks while you watch. Finally, the last reason for going to Stardust is the value. Guests get to watch two movies for the price of one!
Natural Attractions
Southern Ontario has breathtaking beauty. The Town of East Gwillimbury has some of the best attractions. For those who love to keep moving, there is the Nokiidaa Trail to explore. You can walk with your family, friends and even your pets. The trail travels the East Holland River and connects to various municipalities, including East Gwillimbury, Aurora and Newmarket. Nokiidaa hosts various ecosystems, including vast forests and wetlands. Nokiidaa Trails also links to other trails and parks, so there is never a shortage of adventure when hiking the paths.
Another natural attraction is Sibbald Point Provincial Park, which actually has a beach the stretches along lake Simcoe. There are over 500 campsites to choose from and plenty of fitness activities, including trails, playgrounds and volleyball areas. If hiking and volleyball and hiking aren't your thing, don’t stress, there are plenty of spaces to get your barbeque on. One of the unique features of Sibbald Point Park is the fact that it hosts a museum. The Sibbald Memorial Museum, or Eildon Hall, is a historic building built by the famous Sibbald family and is dedicated to life in rural Ontario during the nineteenth century.
Water Attractions
Have you ever experienced an inflatable water park? If the answer is "No,” then you haven't lived yet. The Aqua Park is a 25-acre inflatable water park that features trampolines, climbers, slides and monkey bars. Your kids will never want to go home; in fact, neither will the adults. Aqua Park has activities for the older crowd, including wakeboarding, kayaking and paddleboards. Get ready for a day you and the family will never forget.
