Just a little drive away is the famous Sheppard’s Bush Conservation area that is the ideal place for outdoor winter activities for adults and offers the best conditions for snowshoeing.

Sliding Into Snow Like

Heading down the slope is winter fun at its peak. It is an exhilarating experience that does not require much energy when compared to snowshoeing and snowboarding. There are tons of amazing resorts that offer such fun outdoor winter activities for beginners and pros. The small hills are super easy to navigate and a perfect learning spot for new beginners. The Lakeridge Resort is one that has family-friendly slopes that even make these outdoor winter activities for preschoolers lots of fun. You can get group and family pass at great discounts. If you’ve got kids 5 years and under, take them to Searchmont Resort and they can ride the hills for free.

Skating or Tobogganing?

When it comes to fun outdoor winter activities, adults and kids are always in agreement that tobogganing and skating are the most fun. They don’t cost much, can be done in so many locations, and are just amazing activities that make you want to step outside during winters. Get your favorite tube or speeding sled and zip down the hills for hours of unlimited fun. Or, put those hips and leg muscles to work as you dance around the skating rinks with friends and family during the winter months. You can head to Fleury Park for tobogganing fun or if skating is more of your thing, check out the Machell Park Ice Rink. The local favorite is Finn Hill at Black Road where you’ll see tons of people sledding and enjoying themselves.
