The Growing Community of Queensville

With Phase 2 having just been released, now is a great time to take a look at everything Queensville has to offer. From great local shopping to entertainment options, Queensville is a bustling community filled with things to do.

As for shopping options, the choices are vast. First and foremost among our worthy mentions is the ever-popular Costco Wholesale superstore. Just a short jaunt across Yonge Street you’ll find yourself face-to-face with this mega-monster of a shopping experience. Perfect for acquiring large amounts of supplies for the homestead, Costco has what you need for all of your meal preparation and household concerns.

However, if your supermarket requirements are somewhat more relaxed than the large quantities Costco provides, then equally close by are options like FreshCo, Real Canadian Superstore, and Walmart.

Although, if grocery-related conveniences don’t quite tickle your fancy, then worry not. Also within close proximity to the burgeoning community of Queensville are locations like Best Buy and The Home Depot. So for all of you handy-Dads and avid fans of tech toys, there’s plenty to love about living in East Gwillimbury.

Being right next to Highway 404 makes it easy to find almost any type of dining experience you want. Although, when you’ve made Queensville you won’t have to travel to the city to be surrounded by delicious dining options. The rural and urban community of Queensville is in close proximity to great restaurants like Montana’s BBQ and Bar (we recommend you get the ribs), Sunset Grill (for all you breakfast lovers out there), Moxie’s Bar and Grill (a classic dining experience by any measure), and the locally famous Clancy’s Fish & Chips.

Entertainment and fitness choices are prevalent in Queensville also. The East Gwillimbury Sports Complex is the only place to think of when you feel the need to hit the ice. Public skating and pick-up hockey games are great ways to stay active, and you can even get the whole family in on the fun.

However, if you feel the inexorable pull of captivating cinema, then there are several great options. SilverCity Newmarket Cinema is only minutes away and features the biggest names in new blockbuster films. Here you can witness the biggest stars in the world battle it out for domination of a distant planet or instead watch with rapt attention as Hollywood royalty morosely ponder the inevitable fall 19th-century British aristocracy over tea and crumpets. Whatever your preference of genre, SilverCity is a movie-going experience that stands among all the well-known greats of our modern age.

But, if you’re in the mood to relive to the age-old pastime of classic films and the drive-in experience, then you’re in luck! The Stardust Drive-in Theatre is one of the few Drive-in Theatres still operating in Canada and is situated on Mount Albert Road between Leslie Street and Yonge Street.

Directly in front of the Lone Star Restaurant is the East Gwillimbury Farmers’ Market! Every Thursday from 2pm-7pm you’ll find fruits, vegetables, meats, baked goods, honeys and sauces being sold by local vendors. For some of the most delicious locally-sourced foods and treats, stop on by and sample to best the area has to offer.

With all these convenient amenities close by it’s no wonder so many people have chosen Queensville as their home. It truly is the perfect blend of rural and urban community living. Far enough away from the city that you feel a neighbourly sense of belonging, yet close enough that you have everything you need.

It’s a place filled with authentic flavours, stunning natural scenery, and all the convenience of city life - where pristine environments sequentially combine into magnificent tableaus of natural grandeur. It’s where you find attainable peace through the unobtrusive fulfilment of your creature comforts and every daily requirement.
